The Details

It’s that time of year again. It’s the wonderful bi-annual event that is the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale. Starting this Monday and going through Wednesday, you’ll be able to stock up on your favorite Lilly pieces that you’ve been eyeing all year long. Since their website doesn’t have a sales section, this is always a big deal and you can expect some fantastic savings!

Line Up

If this is your first time interested in the AP Sale, it’s best to get prepped now. Lilly lovers across the world get up extra early to get on the website’s virtual queue. When the site officially opens up, it can seem so daunting. I think I was once 100,000th or more in line one year. It may take a little bit of a wait, but I promise you won’t miss out on all of the fun!

To really get yourself prepared for the all of the shopping, I suggest setting up your profile account TODAY! Items aren’t reserved for you when they are in your shopping cart and it would be awful to miss out on your top pieces because you have to create a profile the day of. Get instant gratification. Sign in, check out, and you’re done!

Checking Out

Speaking of checking out… Even though it may be really tempting to buy one piece at a time, once you check out, you are instantly placed at the end of the virtual queue. The whole process will start over again. If you want to grab your must have pieces right away and then leisurely shop, this may not be a bad strategy for you. It’s just something to keep in mind. 

Final Sale

Another factor to think about is that all of these items are FINAL sale. That means no exchanges, no refunds, and no store credit. If you are new to shopping at Lilly, I want to say that overall it runs true to size, but double check for yourself. You can take a second to read the reviews and look at pictures other Lilly lovers have posted. The best plan, if you are able to, is to stop by a Lilly Pulitzer store in person and try on for sizing. The ladies that work there are extremely knowledgeable and can give you great guidance, even if the item isn’t in store. 

New Items

The Lilly team has one final twist to make the sale more exciting. Each day, they will be adding new items for you to get fawn over. Typically, they unveil all of the sale items at once, with a sprinkling of new items throughout the day. This year, they have a slew of items lined up to be released Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s going to keep me engaged and hopefully I won’t do too much damage to my monthly budget.

Between now and Monday, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite Lilly pieces from the past year. Many of these will probably be included in the sale. Fresh Releases, Volume 10 (Tuckernuck)

I feel like I just shared new arrivals from Tuckernuck, but their latest collection is just too good not to share! The line is full of jewel tones and phenomenal patterns. Normally, I only get excited about spring and summer fashions. These pieces are definitely making me change my tune.

Red Jacquard Blouse

The fabric on this blouse is absolutely gorgeous and makes quite a statement. It’s a number that would be so stylish for cocktails after work, paired with your most flattering black jeans and pumps.

Patterned OTS Blouse

When I first laid eyes on this top, it instantly made it’s way to my shopping cart. In the summertime, I’m all about wearing light toile and chinoiserie prints. This pattern is the cold weather version of that. I find the off-the-shoulder style to be so flattering, too.

Multi Tweed Jacket

My obsession with tweed jackets is never-ending and my collection grows with every season. I love this particular jacket because it adds a huge dash of color in the form of tweeds. They also have a v-neck blouse in the same fabric.

Black Popcorn Turtleneck

Living in New York, I find myself wearing black more and more. Typical right? This turtleneck sweater looks so cozy and the longer length makes it great to layer over a pair of leggings. The popcorn detailing gives a unique twist to a typical sweater.

Geometric Mod Dress

Normally, I don’t go for the mod look, but this dress is just too good to pass up on. Because of the short length, you have the option to wear it now with a pair of simple pumps or later with a pair of tights and knee-high boots.

Wildflower Shirt Dress

Are you tired of my crush on shirt dresses yet? This takes my standard shirt dress uniform and adds some length. The maxi dress style makes it look so much more elegant. More importantly, it looks like it has some great movement to sashay along with you.

Fresh Releases, Volume 9 (1901)

After a weekend of eyeballing so many great sales for Labor Day, I finally feel like I can start justifying shopping for the fall season. It’s still gorgeous summer weather here in NYC, but rest assured, the weather can change any day now. 1901, an exclusive Nordstrom brand, has some perfectly preppy pieces that just scream Fall. There are so many good picks to choose from, but here are my favorites!

Sweater Midi Skirt

This midi skirt was a favorite from last year, originally posted here, and I’m so happy to see it come back! The material is both warm and incredibly soft to give you a skirt with lots of movement. It might just be the perfect piece to add to your fall and winter wardrobe.

Hunter Green Wrap Dress

When I first laid eyes on this dress, all I could think about was Meghan Markle. Last year, I blogged about what a great fall color ‘bottle green’ was. It looks amazing on just about every skin tone. This dress, with its collared necklace and wrap waist will be incredibly flattering.

Navy Belted Shift Dress

If the last dress says Markle, this dress must say Jackie Kennedy. Navy is a color that will work for any season. Buy this dress for the fall and bet that you can absolutely wear it in the spring and summer months too.

Yellow Sailor Skirt

Nothing like a sunny pop of color amongst darks and jewel tones. Although yellow is normally a summery hue, the material and cut of this skirt brings it into the new season. I love the idea of wearing it with a navy pullover sweater and brown loafers for a vintage collegiate look.

Grey Varsity Sweater

It may look like your average heather grey cardigan, but subtle burgundy stripes screams varsity, especially since I’m a Florida State alum. Even with the accents, this sweater is a neutral color and can be paired with almost any other color scheme. The possibilities are endless!

Olive Shirt Dress

It’s no secret that I love my shirt dresses. I think I have one in almost every color, but my closet is lacking in the olive green department. This color is really interesting to me and, even better, it’s striped. That’s a pattern that I will always have room for in my closet.
