This week’s dispatch feels like a small celebration of the turning season. After a long stretch of winter weather, I’m leaning into the little things that signal spring is finally around the corner: quick trips into the city for inspiration, weekend rituals that make home feel cozy again, and a few wardrobe pieces that hint at warmer days ahead. In this edition, I’m sharing what’s been happening in my world lately, a few things I’m currently coveting, some cultural finds worth bookmarking, and the latest posts from the blog.
In My World
- As you’re reading this, I’m hopefully in NYC for a quick day trip. With Spring weather just around the corner, I’ll be visiting the city as often as possible for a little inspiration and vitalization after a long winter. I can’t wait to see the Seeing Silence exhibit at the MET before it closes in April.
- We had some cans of Campbell’s Tomato Soup left over from our last blizzard, so I decided to make Croque Monsieur to go with it. It’s one of my favorite French dishes and is surprisingly quick to make. This recipe has become my go-to.
- I’m on a subscription for Hotel Lobby Candles and I’ve been picking out a new scent every month. Each is even better than the last. This month, I opted for Napa Valley. With notes of Currant Berries and French Oak, it’s spot-on as the days get longer and warmer.
- We’ve made it a weekend ritual to stop by Raphael’s Bakery in Greenwich for the freshest baked goods. The owner is a 3rd generation boulanger and the love for his craft comes out in every piece. We love to pick up a baguette and a few croissants, but the zucchini tart is our absolute favorite!
Currently Coveting
- I was in the market for a new pair of ecru/cream jeans to help me transition into the new season (even though I wear them year round). I ordered this pair of Levis plus this pair from Madewell to try out. I’ll report back which one I prefer.
- When I popped into J. Crew, I saw this little dress in person and have been daydreaming about it ever since.
- Earlier this week, I shared a post about styling trench coats. I adore my khaki trench that I’ve had for years and am deeply considering purchasing a black option to add to the rotation.
- Because I truly can’t get enough tweed, I picked up this dress from Tuckernuck in the prettiest shade of navy.
- TKEES very kindly gifted me a pair of their Lily sandals. Available in 11 nude shades, you can pick the pair that most closely matches your summer glow.
Cultural Notes
- With all of the snow and subzero temperatures this winter, I’m planning ahead for 2027 to have a sunnier destination booked. This NYT article about the French Riviera in Winter is bookmarked for just that reason!
- I always look forward to Town and Country’s monthly book recommendations. The latest novel from Allison Patakiand a new authorized biography about Audrey Hepburn are both on my list to read this Spring.
- I loved seeing this stunning wedding at the Weekapaug Inn from the fall. It’s one of my favorite places to visit, especially for a long weekend, and it’s so fun to see this historic hotel really shine!
- While doing some research for an upcoming NYC bachelorette trip, I came across this list of top cocktail bars in New York City. Cheers!
- Finally, a trend I can get behind!
