There’s something magical about a girls’ getaway, especially when it involves sunshine, vintage charm, and endless inspiration. Palm Beach has long been a favorite of mine, and this recent weekend felt like the perfect blend of timeless elegance and easy fun. From lazy mornings by the pool to boutique shopping and beautiful meals, every detail made me feel like I’d stepped into a Slim Aarons photograph. Whether you’re planning your first visit or returning for a reset, Palm Beach has all the makings of a stylish, memory-filled escape.

Stay
We stayed at The Colony Hotel, which felt like a vacation in and of itself. With its iconic pink facade, coastal interiors, and old-school glamour, the hotel sets the tone from the moment you arrive. Our room was bright, welcoming, and perfect for slow mornings with coffee by the pool. While I can’t imagine a better home base, I have my eye on Palm House for next time. It’s a newer spot getting plenty of buzz for its cool, modern aesthetic and fresh take on the Palm Beach experience. The good news? There’s no wrong choice here, just different flavors of fabulous.

Eat
Palm Beach has no shortage of incredible food, but Buccan stood out as a true highlight. It’s polished but relaxed, and the menu is packed with bold, thoughtful dishes, ideal for a long, chatty dinner with friends. You can follow it up with a walk and a scoop (or two) from Piccolo Gelato, tucked just off the main street. The passion fruit and guava combo was perfect for a warm Florida afternoon. Whether you’re dining out or grabbing something sweet, everything tastes better with a sea breeze and good company.

Sip
One of our favorite stops for a cocktail was Brazilian Court. With its tucked-away setting and leafy courtyard, it felt like a secret garden, and the drinks were just as pretty. We also made a ritual of breakfast at Sant Ambroeus, where the cappuccinos are strong and the Bloody Marys come perfectly spiced. There’s something about sipping one slowly with friends, while the day stretches ahead full of possibility. It’s the kind of moment that lingers.

Shop
No girls’ weekend would be complete without a little window shopping, or in our case, some real shopping too. The Julia Amory boutique is a dream, filled with block-print and silk dresses and tablescapes that make you want to host a dinner party every weekend. Lycette is another must-visit, especially if you love needlepoint or charming gifts. We also popped into Church Mouse, for vintage find, and Kassatly’s, a Palm Beach institution that feels like stepping into a well-kept secret. Every shop feels beautifully curated and uniquely Palm Beach.

Our weekend in Palm Beach was everything I hoped for: sun-soaked, beautifully styled, and full of small moments that felt like something out of a storybook. There’s a reason people have been escaping here for generations. It’s not just the pink buildings or ocean breeze (though those help). It’s the feeling of slowing down, soaking it in, and celebrating the friendships that make life extra sweet. I already can’t wait to come back.
Love from Palm Beach,
Katie
