Fair Isle Sweater and Leather Pants

We did not manage to book a snowy ski trip this winter, but that has not stopped me from imagining one. I do not ski and have never pretended otherwise, but I deeply love the idea of après-ski. Fireside drinks, something warm and indulgent on the table, snow boots lined up by the door, and nowhere you need to be in a hurry. This is less about sport and more about atmosphere, and that is something I can happily plan for. If I were packing for a winter escape centered entirely around cozy afternoons and long evenings, this is exactly what I would bring.

Cable Knit Roll Neck Sweater

This is the anchor of the whole look. A chunky cable knit with a roll neck feels classic, warm, and perfectly suited to cold weather. It is the kind of sweater that looks just as good by the fire as it does heading out for a drink.

Black Stirrup Leggings

Stirrup leggings feel very right for après-ski even if you never touch the slopes. They are comfortable, streamlined, and practical for cold weather. I love how they pair easily with boots and longer layers.

Cashmere Socks

Cashmere socks are a small luxury that make a big difference. They add warmth without bulk and instantly make everything feel cozier. These are non negotiable for evenings spent indoors.

Black Crossbody Bag

A small black crossbody keeps things simple and hands free. It is practical enough for walking through a snowy village but polished enough for dinner. This is the bag I would reach for every time.

Grey Wrap Coat

A grey wrap coat feels elegant and timeless. It layers beautifully over knits and adds softness to an otherwise dark palette. This is the coat I imagine wearing for a cocktail before dinner.

Black Booties

A sleek black bootie works well for indoor settings and casual evenings out. They feel more refined than heavy snow boots but still grounded enough for winter. This is where comfort and polish meet.

Black Cashmere Hat

A simple black cashmere hat keeps everything cohesive. It feels elevated without trying too hard. I love how it finishes an outfit quietly.

Tortoise Sunglasses

Yes, even in winter. Tortoise sunglasses add warmth and interest to an otherwise neutral look. They also make any outfit feel more intentional.

Black Puffer Coat

For truly cold days, a black puffer is essential. This is the coat for walks through falling snow or heading back from dinner late at night. Warmth wins here and that feels luxurious in its own way.

Black Chelsea Boots

Chelsea boots are practical and timeless. They are easy to pull on and sturdy enough for winter weather. I like them for daytime wandering and casual outings.

Brown Fleece Jacket

A tan fleece jacket adds texture and softness. It is perfect for layering indoors or throwing on for a quick walk outside. This is a very cozy piece with a relaxed feel.

Layering Turtleneck

A thin turtleneck is one of my favorite winter layers. It adds warmth without bulk and works under sweaters, jackets, and coats. This is a quiet workhorse piece.

Black Wide Leg Pants

Wide leg black pants balance out heavier knits and outerwear. They feel comfortable but still pulled together. This is my choice for dinners that call for something relaxed but polished.

Black Cashmere Gloves

Cashmere gloves are practical but also feel indulgent. They are soft, warm, and easy to keep in a coat pocket. Small details like this matter in cold weather.

Black Pajamas

After dinner, nothing beats changing into great pajamas. A black set feels chic but still cozy. This is when the evening truly begins to slow down.

White Fairisle Sweater

Sweater || Faux-Leather Pants || Booties || Coat || Gloves || Earrings || Lip Color

Après-ski style, at least for me, is about comfort layered with intention. It is about clothes that invite you to linger, sit closer to the fire, and order another drink. Even without a trip on the calendar, imagining what I would wear feels like a small winter pleasure in itself. Skis are optional, but the cozy layers are not.
