Welcome to the very first Sunday Dispatch. I have been looking for a way to connect a little more consistently, beyond individual outfit posts or travel guides, and this felt like the right place to begin. A space to share what I have been up to, what I am cooking or booking, the pieces I am eyeing, the articles I saved, and the small details that shape my week.
Think of this as a weekly note from me to you. A recap of what is happening in my world, along with the things I am currently loving and thinking about. Some weeks may be full of travel plans or new finds, others quieter and closer to home. Either way, I am glad you are here.
In My World
- We started the week tucked in at home during the Northeast blizzard, leaning fully into cozy mode before a workweek filled with canceled and delayed daycare. We survived in one piece, fueled in large part by this Chicken Leek Pot Pie recipe from Pardon My French. It was the perfect comfort meal.
- I booked our upcoming trip to New Orleans and cannot wait to stay at Maison Métier. As a travel advisor, I have access to preferred perks at a number of beautiful properties throughout the city, which makes planning stays like this even more rewarding.
- In a burst of inspiration, I completely redesigned Orange to Apple. After being locked out of the site for months, I finally regained access and gave it a fresh new look that feels much more aligned with where I am creatively.
- Our kitchen has lately resembled a tiny Parisian café thanks to Brennan’s Laugh & Learn Coffee Café. She happily takes our “orders” while we heat up the take-and-bake croissants from Whole Foods, and I cannot think of a sweeter way to start the morning.
Currently Coveting
- A polka dot set from WAYF that I cannot wait to style the top and midi skirt both together and separately.
- Sézane’s spring arrivals, especially the eyelet pieces that feel made for warmer weather.
- A party dress from Tuckernuck that feels ready for the next celebration.
- Evaluating my shoe lineup for spring and summer, currently considering black leather sandals, possibly from YSL, and tan espadrille wedges from Castañer.
- Daydreaming about this organza cocktail dress from Staud that feels very Audrey Hepburn inspired.
- The black gingham Delphine skirt from Hill House Home, which I may style this week with a crisp white button-down and ballet flats so I do not have to wait any longer.
Cultural Notes
- I am currently reading Phantom Lady, a biography on Hollywood producer Joan Harrison, one of the few women producing films in the 1940s. It is sharp, ambitious, and fascinating in its look at power behind the scenes.
- I enjoyed Town & Country’s recent piece on the return of prep, which explores how classic American style is evolving while still holding onto its roots.
- Every Francophile I know has been talking about the Grand Prix de la Baguette. This article from the Washington Post shows an inside look to the annual competition, the intense pride behind France’s most iconic staple, and has given me a few boulangeries I want to visit this fall.
- I also bookmarked Léonce Chenal’s guide to living like a French woman through small, intentional habits, a thoughtful reminder that everyday rituals shape a beautifully lived life.
