As we move even closer to spring, I’ve been finding inspiration in small moments throughout the week. A day trip into the city, a few new pieces I’m considering for the season ahead, and even a long overdue rewatch of Mad Men have all been adding little sparks of creativity to my routine. In this week’s Sunday Dispatch, I’m sharing a few things from my world lately, what I’m currently coveting, and a handful of cultural notes that have caught my attention.

In My World

  • Last Sunday, my family of three took a day trip into the city. Although there’s so much to see, the Upper East Side simply calls to me, but is also the easiest to navigate when you have a toddler in tow. We started with a quick coffee break at Sant Ambroeus before spending the morning at the Met. While my sights were on the Seeing Silence exhibit, we had to make a pitstop at the 81st Street Studio for Brennan. Afterward, we had brunch at Hoexter’s which I highly recommend.
  • I’ve been giving Mad Men a much deserved rewatch. It’s been a few years since I last viewed this iconic show, but I’m still finding little touches of inspiration in the fashion.
  • It’s officially the start of Cherry Blossom Watch! Each spring, I try to plan at least one trip into the city to perfectly coincide with peak blooms in Central Park. I’ve had the best luck when there’s a spontaneous midweek dinner reservation also on the docket that just so happen to bring me to the Upper East Side.

Currently Coveting

  • I’m back to report on what pair of cream/ecru jeans I decided to keep. While it was a really close call between fit, length, and color, I ultimately decided to keep the Levi 501s because of the material: 100% cotton!
  • It’s no secret that I have a little obsession with tweed, especially when it comes to jackets. This jacket and short combo from J. Crew instantly caught my eye. I just wish the jacket had a different cut.
  • This morning at 9 am sharp, I’ll be shopping the newest arrivals from Sézane. The Lookbook has so many stunning pieces, but the white and black shift dress is already a standout for me.

Cultural Notes

  • Last week I shared How to Style a Trench Coat on my blog. Town and Country continued the conversation with article about the Best Trench Coats for 2026. The red trench coat has officially entered the chat!
  • I’m daydreaming about a Fall trip to Paris this year, but always love to have a second region on my list to explore and get to know. This article from Travel + Leisure makes a very strong case for Bordeaux, especially since it’s a short (and direct) train ride away.
  • Congratulations to the Tuckernuck team on the grand opening of their new Georgetown flagship store. The interior design looks absolutely impeccable and I can’t wait to see in person. On an unrelated note, I’m also taking notes from their Buenos Aires travel guide
  • We briefly stopped through Lillian Bassman: Bazaar and Beyond at the Met, which showcases the work of the influential midcentury fashion photographer. Bassman was known for her dreamy, almost abstract images that captured the mood of fashion rather than its exact details. Even in a quick visit, the photographs were striking and felt surprisingly modern. It’s definitely an exhibit I’d love to revisit with more time.
  • Newport’s landmark hotel, the Hotel Viking, will be reopening in the upcoming months with a refreshed interior, just in time to celebrate it’s 100th year. Also of note is the new the French Riviera-inspired restaurant that will call the hotel home.
