This past week felt like a mix of small moments and quiet inspiration. A few days away for work, an early spring dinner to celebrate David, and a new book I could not resist picking up have all found their way into the rhythm of the week. Alongside that, I have been thinking more about the pieces I am reaching for, the spaces and stories that continue to inspire me, and what I am looking forward to as the season slowly begins to shift.

In My World

  • I spent a few days in Concord for work, attending a conference that ended up being both productive and genuinely enjoyable. In between sessions, I made a stop at Revelstoke Coffee, which may have been a highlight of the trip. I ordered their carrot cake latte and have not stopped thinking about it since. It was the perfect cozy treat on a still-chilly early spring day.
  • Last weekend, David and I celebrated his birthday with dinner at Le Penguin. It is one of those places that always feels intimate and a little bit special without trying too hard. A favorite for celebrations, and one we will continue to return to.
  • Today, I started reading Me by Katharine Hepburn after finding a pristine hardcover copy at Goodwill for fifty cents. It was an immediate yes. I have such a soft spot for women’s biographies, especially ones that feel like they belong on a permanent shelf rather than a passing read.

Cultural Notes

  • I recently read a piece from Harper’s Bazaar that made a surprisingly strong case for skirt suits. It reframed them not as something overly formal or dated, but as a modern, feminine uniform. It definitely shifted how I am thinking about structure and tailoring heading into the next season.
  • A beautifully written article from The New York Times followed a woman living in a 400-square-foot Paris studio, and I found myself completely drawn in. There is something endlessly inspiring about the way people design small spaces with such intention, especially in a city like Paris where life seems to unfold just as much outside the home as within it.
  • I also came across a piece from Town & Country that explored the history behind one of Jackie Kennedy’s favorite everyday objects. It is exactly the kind of detail I love. A reminder that personal style is often found in the smallest, most practical things.
  • And in a very on-brand development, I have started quietly manifesting a trip to France this fall. I recently saved an Instagram post describing a “pilgrimage to Saint-Malo for the world’s best butter,” which feels like a perfectly reasonable reason to plan an entire itinerary.
